Nobles, From time to time I think we start to lose sight of the reason that we all contribute our time and money to our fraternity.  Sure we enjoy good friends and fun times and get to act a little foolish.  That's part of the reason.  But a parade in Lillington the other night kind of brought things back into perspective. I was driving a recovery following the group when a Lady stepped from the crowd and approached me.  I stopped and she took my hand.  She told me that the Shriners had helped her in 1956 and that she would be eternally grateful for their generosity.  As she continued tears came to her eyes and mine.  I left her and finished the parade with the meeting strong in my mind.  When you start to wonder why you spend the time and money just remember all the folks just like the Lady in Lillington that the Shrine has helped.  Yep, its worth it. Merry Christmas, OJ
